The Center for Energy & Environment, a Minneapolis energy efficiency organization, is now offering no-interest loans to 501©3 nonprofit organizations across Minnesota looking to make energy improvements.
The funding for this program was made available through federal stimulus funding received by the Minnesota Office of Energy Security.
Loans of up to $25,000 are now available for a variety of energy-saving projects, including lighting retrofits; building energy controls; commissioning or recommissioning; heating, ventilation and air-conditioning improvements, exterior envelope improvements, and energy efficient motors.
The loans can be spread over up to seven years and may include a grant. Projects must be pre-approved. New construction projects are ineligible.
