The Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs) welcomes Tess Dornfeld as the CERT Regional Coordinator for the Southeast region. Tess will be working to advance the overall CERT mission to connect individuals and organizations with the technical resources they need to identify and implement community-based energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, across the Southeast region.
Welcome, Tess!
I really value what CERTs does after following this work for many years, and I look forward to reconnecting with the communities of Southeast Minnesota and getting to know the whole region even better, and working especially with marginalized communities for a just and equitable clean energy transition.
About Tess
Tess (she/her) grew up in Owatonna and earned her B.A. at Carleton College in Northfield, and M.A. at American University in Washington, D.C., both in environmental politics. In between, she spent nearly a decade working in campaign and community organizing in Minnesota, as well as Boundary Waters outfitting, along with international sustainable development, education, and field ecology work. Tess lives on Wahpekute land in Minneapolis and she enjoys craft beer and doughnuts, and to even them out, biking and cross-country skiing.
