Event Description

This free event welcomes all, young and old, to learn how to make healthy choices for themselves and their Earth. A variety of exhibitors related to eco-friendly living and youth resources will be set up throughout the day. Youth can participate in the YMCA Kids Passport activity to receive stamps from exhibitors they visit and become eligible to win prizes.

The YMCA will be hosting a free Kids Color Fun Run beginning at 11:00 A.M. T-shirts will be given to the first 200 youth in attendance. Other youth activities will be available throughout the day. Other featured speakers include:

11:40am: Local Power & Utilities Panel  1:00 pm J. Drake Hamilton, Fresh Energy’s Managing Director of Science Policy, presents on “Climate Actions We Should Take”

A partnership with Tree Trust and the City of Willmar will provide Willmar residents the opportunity to purchase 3 to 8 foot trees at a reduced cost of $50 each. If you’d like to learn more or purchase a tree, visit f3cb41-7f.myshopify.com.

GypsyBowls food truck will be on site from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM with healthy and delicious food options for purchase.
