VIDEO: A solar bulk buy + grant makes a farmer "berry" happy

Here is a three-minute video of a Minnesota berry farmer who was part of a Minnesota Solar United Neighbors (SUN) bulk buy co-op AND he received a USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant.

UPCOMING EVENT: Lakes & Prairies Solar Co-op

We would be tickled to share this video anytime, anywhere, but right now in 2024-25 there is a Solar United Neighbors bulk buy co-op happening in Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse, and Wilkin counties. It is called the Lakes & Prairies Solar Co-op, and interested folks can sign up until March 27, 2025. Neat, huh!

Get into REAP Grants

And speaking of REAP Grants – which can cover up to 50% of a renewable energy project’s costs – we have staff who may be able to help rural farms and businesses write and submit these grants. If the grant amount is coming in at $20,000 or less (so the total project could cost would be $40,000 or less), please connect with Colby Abazs at colby@cleanenergyresourceteams.org
