Submit your solar photos to the Minnesota Solar Challenge Photo Drive!

Do you have a nice-looking solar energy installation in Minnesota? If so, we need photos!

As part of the Minnesota Solar Challenge (a US Department of Energy funded effort to remove barriers to rooftop solar PV deployment), we’re looking for high-quality photos of your best and most beautiful solar projects in Minnesota. These photos will help the Minnesota Solar Challenge show the variety and beauty of Minnesota’s solar installations.

What’s in it for you? This will benefit you in many ways, including visibility of your awesome contributions to Minnesota’s clean energy future! Many of these photos will also be used in the Minnesota Solar Challenge’s report to state policy makers in January 2013. As a bonus if you upload your photos by December 28 you may win two free tickets to our CERTs 2013 Conference on February 20-21 (one winner will be drawn from participants who upload their photos by Dec. 28).

How does it work? Your photos will be posted on Flickr (view the type of images we’re looking for here, though your image(s) will include complete information about your project(s)) and made available for use by the general public through a Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial license. This means other people will be able to use your photos in print and online—but only for noncommercial purposes and only if they give you credit.

How do you submit photos? You can easily submit your photos through our form. When you fill out the online form and upload your photos, we’ll ask you a few basic questions about project type, location, and size. We are looking for a wide variety of geographic locations, sizes, and project types in Minnesota.

Thank you for helping to showcase Minnesota’s beautiful solar projects—tell your friends and colleagues to do the same!
